Welcome to the Southern Arizona Psychology Internship Consortium!

The 2009-20010 internship year will mark the fourteenth year of existence, and the thirteenth year of A.P.A. accreditation for the Southern Arizona Psychology Internship Consortium (SAPIC). SAPIC was created in order to provide high-quality training to interns desiring a training experience in a cutting-edge, managed health care community behavioral health care environment. SAPIC is currently based within La Frontera Center, Inc., a large community behavioral health organization serving about 18,000 underserved  and culturally diverse clients.

SAPIC offers interns the opportunity to sharpen their psychotherapeutic skills with a culturally, socioeconomically, and clinically diverse clientele of various ages, in a variety of community settings, and with professionals from many disciplines. Such flexibility provides interns with the opportunity to meet their training needs, while preparing them to compete in today's complex and changing behavioral health market.
